Oracle Forms conversion
From YenraWiki
On September 16, 2008, Vgo Software announced their success in becoming the first in the world to automate the modernization of Oracle Forms to ADF v11 for customer Mednet International (MNI), an international provider of health insurance administration systems in Athens, Greece. Vgo Software utilized both ART, their Oracle Forms analysis tool, and Evo, the industry leading Oracle Forms modernization software, to complete the project.
Vgo Software was challenged to modernize the health insurance administration and management system from an Oracle Forms 6i-based client-server system to Oracle ADF v11 to provide better long-term support for MNI's applications, reduce operational spending and position their portfolio in a long-term strategic position.
To solve this issue, Vgo worked with MNI from the start by objectively assessing their organizational and business needs to recommend a solution architecture and approach to modernization. Vgo then used ART to analyze their application to assist in planning the approach in more detail. From the analysis, Vgo worked closely with MNI developers to customize Evo to convert their Forms to a specific ADF v11 implementation. Vgo has worked with the technical previews of ADF v11 all the way through to the most current release, technical preview 4. Throughout this project Vgo partnered extensively with MNI and also Oracle product development to support a successful implementation.
