Announced February 26, 2010, IceWEB received an initial order for a 24 terabyte storage platform from a large interstate gas transmission and storage company. The company operates more than 10,000 miles of natural gas pipelines on the east coast.
The platform will be used for pipeline mapping and log storage. The multi-tiered storage solution is custom tailored with IceWEB products to handle the stringent demands of the utility industry.
During the last six months, IceWEB has been making significant inroads within the oil and gas industry. Earlier this month, the company was awarded a contract to analyze a Fortune 10 oil and gas company's current geospatial data warehouse.
