On November 30, 2008, TEAC announced its alliance with SST Group to distribute its next generation medical disc publishing systems into the medical market.

TEAC's Medical Disc Publishing Systems are fourth generation products featuring a next generation dye-sublimation / thermal fusion print technology that provides the highest resolution and one of the least expensive cost per prints in the industry today. TEAC Disc Publishing Systems feature a new robotic arm and picking mechanism which are designed to provide unsurpassed durability and enhanced serviceability. TEAC printer also gives the medical facility the ability to custom print USB flash media with its Hospital logo and Patient information.

The new TEAC Publishing systems contain three burners which provide the user increased throughput and a choice between CD and DVD when recording patient studies. The multiple recorders also provide the site an easy way to upgrade to Blu-Ray for shelf archive, while continuing to maintain dual drive CD/DVD capability for speed and capacity relating to media distribution. The recorders are manufactured by TEAC providing high recording capability, faster tray operation, self checking mechanism for recording quality and a function to count total recording time for easy maintenance. The TEAC systems all come with embedded servers which are capable of hosting SST's DICOM application along with storing patient studies.

The latest generations of digital modalities pose no problem for TEAC's new Medical Disc Publishing Systems. TEAC's systems are designed to receive and store large data sets while producing patient media at a very rapid pace. TEAC includes a front load DVD-ROM on its new systems for quick easy import of DICOM studies.
