Mary Elizabeth was a graduate of Arendell Parrott Academy and Salem College where she received a music scholarship. She was Pitt County's first Junior Miss and a 1988 North Carolina debutant. After moving to Atlanta, she worked with PR Newswire and transferred to San Francisco where she was one of their top sales persons.
Believing that music is the universal language, Mary Elizabeth lived this belief through music, singing, and song writing. As an independent singer-songwriter with an incredible voice, she liked to hike with her guitar. Generous, loving, beautiful, and angelic -- she had a graciousness about her.
Mary Elizabeth Beckman died on May 14, 2010.
