Announced November 4, 2009, Parrot RKi8400 is an FM/AM RDS car stereo system for the iPhone and the iPod that features multiple connections for digital music and advanced hands-free telephony functions. The RKi8400 is designed with a storage compartment behind the removable front panel, ideal for protecting and recharging an iPhone or iPod.

Parrot RKi8400's iPhone and iPod connections have achieved the double official Apple license Made for iPod and Works with iPhone. Parrot RKi8400 Bluetooth wireless technology enables users to listen to music stored on an iPhone or iPod, designed with Parrot's expertise in digital acoustics for in-vehicle conversations and voice recognition via dual microphones.

The radio features training-free voice recognition with speech synthesis automatic synchronization with the phonebook when a phone is paired with the radio.

The RKi8400 also includes a USB port for portable hard drive or USB key, an SD card reader and a double line-in socket for analog sources. The unit also includes a 200-watt amplifier. The Parrot RKi8400 is compatible with all Bluetooth mobile phone brands available on the market.
