Designed diffusion technology

Dow Coating Materials presented a paper on designed diffusion technology on November 12, 2009 at the European Coatings Conference in Berlin.

Designed diffusion technology is helping to meet environmental regulations by to reducing volatile organic compounds in the coatings industry without compromising film performance

To gain proper hardness, mar, block, print and dirt pick-up resistance, latex based industrial coatings need high glass transition polymers.

Designed diffusion technology allows Dow to improve and accelerate early property development of waterborne latex coatings so that coatings formulators and end users have the option to be able to lower volatile organic compounds, as well as improve line productivity and reduce energy requirements.

Dow explored detailed evidence of designed diffusion technology performance, including analytical, physical, and application data.
