Danica McKellarFrom YenraOn May 8, 2009, Danica McKellar, Winnie Cooper on "The Wonder Years" and Elsie Snuffin on "The West Wing," will host the Raytheon MathCounts National Competition. Some of the country's brightest middle school Mathletes will compete for the title of national champion. They represent all 50 states, Washington DC, and U.S. territories. The champion will receive a Donald G. Weinert Scholarship to the college of his choice. Danica McKellar received a degree in math from UCLA and is a math education advocate and author of the New York Times best-selling books, "Kiss My Math" and "Math Doesn't Suck." She is taking part in the Raytheon MathCounts National Competition to help inspire the next generation of innovative minds and build youth self-confidence through scholastic achievement.
