Big E fair

New England's 2008 Big E multi-state fair, held September 12-28 in West Springfield, Massachusetts, includes entertainment, rides, educational displays, gadgets, and thousands of cream puffs. Over a million people visited last year, the eighth largest fair in the United States.

Over seventeen days are a free circus, crafts, animals, a sea lion show, midway rides, and a 19th-century village. The Fair began in 1917.

Fair highlights include:

• Former Monkee Micky Dolenz, Jordin Sparks, and LeAnn Rimes,
• The Big E Super Circus
• Cultura 2008 celebration of Hispanic heritage
• A private collection of rare circus posters
• The Sea Lion Splash
• Daily Mardi Gras parades
• Clydesdales in the daily parade
• Over 50,000 famous Big E cream puffs will be served.
