DAZ Productions and the Miss Digital World Contest invite 3D artists from around the world to create and submit their perfect digital woman to the second annual Miss Digital World Contest.

"It has never been easier to design the ideal digital woman," said Dan Farr of DAZ. DAZ has created two kits especially for Miss Digital World entrants featuring the company's 3D model, Victoria 3.0. These kits allow users to create the pixel-based woman of their imagination. "With the spin of a dial, users can easily change facial features, body shape or proportions. You do not have to be a modeler to create beautiful digital women."

The Miss Digital World Standard Design Kit includes the Victoria 3.0 base model, head and body morphs, a clothing pack and a hair style. The Miss Digital World V3 Professional Design Kit includes similar features as well as additional hair styles, five skin types, and numerous morphs.

"Every age has its ideal of beauty, and every age produces its visual incarnation of that ideal from the Venus de Milo in ancient Greece to Marilyn Monroe in the 1960s; Miss Digital World is the search for a contemporary ideal of beauty, seen through virtual reality," said Franz Cerami, the creator of the competition. Contestants will go face-to-face with their competitors until December 2005. Winners will be crowned in two categories: original models and Victoria-based models. Last year, Chilean Katty Ko was named Miss Digital World from the many entries.

The Miss Digital World contest is open to digital artists, advertising agencies, and videogame programmers from around the world that want to create their 3D representation of the perfect woman. Miss Digital World promotes and raises awareness and use of virtual characters, is an information source for the development of 3D characters, and is a portal for licensing of virtual characters for advertising and publicity.
