Olga is expanding the scope of intimate apparel with its new line Smooth Benefits with Lycra Body Care. This new daywear collection is more than just a light and comfortable layer under clothing; it uses microencapsulated moisture bead technology that allows skin to maintain its natural moisture balance. As a result, skin feels moisturized and soft throughout the day. "The Smooth Benefits collection is an important step for Olga," says Martha Olson of Warnaco Intimate Apparel. "We are always looking for new ways to keep Olga at the forefront of innovation, and incorporating Lycra Body Care technology achieves this by combining beauty and benefits." Invista developed the Lycra Body Care moisturizing technology in 2003. The fabric has invisible micro-beads built into its fibers. The Lycra elastane enables the fabric to stretch, and this releases the aloe vera from the micro-beads as the garment moves with the body. The garment contains as many as one million microscopic capsules per square centimeter of fabric, allowing the time-released moisture properties to last up to six months of wash and wear by following the recommended care instructions. "We are excited for Lycra Body Care to break into the intimate apparel market," said Kim Scheffler of Invista. "Our partnership with Olga allows us to share our cutting-edge technology with a consumer that can appreciate this added benefit." Olga Smooth Benefits silhouettes include a camisole, bikini, thong, and hipster. Suggested retail prices are $10 to $12 for bottoms and $22 for camisoles. The garments are sized small through extra large and are available in toasted almond, white, black, powder pink and ambrosia. Invista develops integrated polymers, intermediates, and fibers. | ||
