LCoS

SpatiaLight is producing a special allocation of high definition televisions based on SpatiaLight's imagEngine LCoS microdisplays as the company moves toward mass production and LG approaches the rollout of its LCoS high definition televisions.

The television to be offered is the stunning 71-inch LCoS high definition model from LG Electronics. The 71-inch LCoS television is sleekly packaged and combines the latest HDTV display and reception technology.

The LG 71SA1D is a digital cable ready model that eliminates the need for a separate set-top box to receive high-definition and premium digital cable programming. This 71-inch widescreen integrated HDTV works with the cable-operator-supplied CableCARD to unscramble digital cable channels and receives free over-the-air HDTV via its built-in ATSC tuner based on LG's proven fifth-generation VSB chipset.

The LCoS HDTV includes LG's proprietary XD Engine technology that takes low-resolution analog signals to near high-definition levels, providing consumers with better overall picture quality and a superior viewing experience. Advanced connectivity options include HDMI and IEEE-1394 DTV Link.

Boasting a 3500:1 contrast ratio, the big LG television is designed to deliver superior HDTV performance using the latest SpatiaLight LCoS 1080p chip technology. Despite its enormous wide screen, the unit is less than 22 inches deep, offering installation flexibility.

Ted Banzhaf of SpatiaLight commented, "We are very happy to be able to make this special offer to our dedicated shareholders who have been so supportive. We believe that the LG product provides the best value for quality high definition television in the marketplace today."

SpatiaLight manufactures high-resolution LCoS microdisplays for use in high definition televisions and other display applications. Utilizing more than 6.2 million pixels, SpatiaLight's LCoS Sets are comprised of three proprietary SpatiaLight imagEngine microdisplays. A SpatiaLight display unit, another Company product, is comprised of an LCoS Set fitted onto a light engine. SpatiaLight currently manufactures two models of its LCoS Sets. The newer generation T-3 model has an active matrix of 1920 pixels by 1080 pixels configuration and the T-1 model has an active matrix of 1280 pixels by 960 pixels configuration.
