Sauvignon Blanc : California white wine displays crisp flavors of tropical fruit and melon balanced with hints of grapefruit and pear

Sauvignon Blanc

Mirassou 2003 California Sauvignon Blanc is the latest addition to the line of premium wines Mirassou Winery has crafted in honor of the family's 150th anniversary. Like all Mirassou varietals in the line, the Sauvignon Blanc is made in a bright, fruit-forward style that pairs well with a variety of cuisines from spicy Thai dishes to summer salads and pasta.

A bright expression of California's most celebrated growing regions, the Mirassou Sauvignon Blanc displays crisp flavors of tropical fruit and melon balanced with hints of grapefruit and pear. Highlighted by subtle grassy characters, this crisp wine is incredibly food-friendly and refreshing to drink, especially in the warm summer months.

"I am so excited to add Sauvignon Blanc to our family of wines," said David Mirassou, sixth-generation of the Mirassou family. "I think people will find it to be a zingy and refreshing summer wine, but will also enjoy its versatility year-round."

Other varietals in the new Mirassou premium line of wines include: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. These wines embody the optimism and pioneering spirit passed down through six generations of the Mirassou family. Featuring a bright, uniquely approachable style, these wines honor the Mirassou family's heritage while appealing to a new generation of wine enthusiasts. Mirassou wines are widely available in all 50 states and retail for approximately $10 a bottle.

Mirassou Winery introduced Pinot Noir to California and pioneered commercial grapevines in Monterey County.
