The newly designed Polaroid Izone 200 instant camera is 30 percent smaller than its predecessor. Polaroid's original i-Zone camera, introduced five years ago, is the number-one selling branded camera in the United States. The compact new Izone 200 features a stylish white and blue sparkle casing and is ideal for instantly capturing the school year's best moments with the same cool stamp-sized, instant color and sticker photos.

Why is the izone camera so popular? Now more than ever, teens are looking for new ways to differentiate and express themselves -- as evidenced by the recent popularity of customized clothes, downloadable cell phone rings and personalized instant message icons. A recent survey of teens ages 12-17 indicated that an overwhelming 95 percent said that it is important to find creative ways to personalize their environment and express themselves.

"We know that teens like to be unique and want to express themselves in a way that really demonstrates their personality -- which is why the Polaroid izone has become so popular with teens through the years," said Jeff Hopper, vice president and chief marketing officer, Polaroid Corporation. "The new Izone 200 allows teens to enjoy the fun and spontaneity of instant photography, offering an even better way to show their style, personalize their belongings, and capture timeless memories through an important time in their lives."

Nearly 60 percent of the teens surveyed believe the Polaroid izone mini- stickers and photos could help them express themselves, their style and personalize their belongings. The Izone 200 instant sticky photos can be affixed to customize anything and everything. The mini-photos also can be transformed into photo charm jewelry, used to design personalized stationery, or to create albums of their most memorable events and gatherings.

Available in October 2004, the new Izone is compact and features a wrist strap, built-in flash that ranges from two-to-eight feet, and is equipped with a focus-free lens that shoots from two feet and beyond with a shutter speed of 1/250 second.
