Alexa attended La Cueva High School and will be go to the University of New Mexico in the fall of 2011 for dental hygiene. She hopes to be a dancer with the Lobo Chaparral Dance Team. In 2008, Alexa represented the United States at the International Cecchetti Ballet Competition. She intends to be a professional dancer before becoming a dental hygenist.
