Swiss Federal Charter - Yenra

715-year-old historic document from Switzerland exhibited at Philadelphia's National Constitution Center

Swiss Federal Charter

Jet Aviation provided a safe lift for the Swiss Federal Charter, known as the Schweizer Bundesbrief, from John F. Kennedy Airport to Philadelphia International Airport. The 715-year-old document from 1291, which never has been shown outside of Switzerland, will be placed in the Sister Republics exhibit for three weeks at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia.

The Swiss Federal Charter was brought to the National Constitution Center by Swiss Roots, a Switzerland promotion initiative. The historic document will be displayed in an exhibit highlighting the close constitutional ties between the United States and Switzerland.
