Matrix Golf Ranking system will rank LPGA and PGA golf professionals in one overall ranking

Matrix Golf announced the Matrix Golf Ranking and the 2004 tournament schedule. The Matrix Golf Ranking is the first golf ranking system ever to rank the top 100 LPGA and PGA golf professionals in one overall ranking.

The Matrix Golf Ranking will analyze 20 golf tournaments in 2004, including the major championships. The rankings are based on LPGA and PGA golf professionals' performances, course rating and slope, total yardage, strength of field and weather conditions at the time of play.

The 2004 Matrix Golf Ranking analyzed the following 20 golf tournaments: Buick Invitational, Safeway International Presented by Coca- Cola, Bay Hill Invitational Presented by MasterCard, Kraft Nabisco Championship, The PLAYERS Championship, The Masters, Michelob Ultra Open at Kingsmill, The Memorial Tournament, McDonald's LPGA Championship Presented by AIG, U.S. Open, U.S. Women's Open, British Open, Evian Masters, Weetabix Women's British Open, PGA Championship, WGC-NEC Invitational, Samsung World Championship, The Tour Championship presented by Coca-Cola, LPGA Tournament of Champions and ADT Championship.
