Corsets : Celebrity-designed lingerie auctioned to the highest bidders at Frederick's of Hollywood in support of a good cause

Corset

Britney Spears and husband Kevin Federline designed a corset for the Frederick's of Hollywood second annual Lingerie Art Auction to benefit RAINN. Decorated with ruffles, ribbons and provocative words, the corset is available to the highest bidder in the online auction.

The benefit kicked off with a live auction held in Hollywood on October 20 and hosted by Susan Sarandon. First up on the auction block was a special corset designed by Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis. The corset features the actresses' image airbrushed onto a custom-built leather corset.

The six corsets auctioned live raised $20,000 for the charity and the remaining two dozen celebrity designed corsets will be available for bidding online. The live auction included corsets from Sarandon and Davis, Barbra Streisand, Diana Ross and Tracee Ellis Ross, Halle Berry, Scarlett Johannson, and Julianne Moore.

"Collaborating on this project has been incredible," said Linda LoRe of Frederick's. "Their mission is vital and is one that we want to support in any way we can."

Corset designs were submitted by an eclectic mix of Hollywood celebrities and even a few rock icons. Julianne Moore, Halle Berry and Eva Mendes, co-stars of Sarandon's in a current advertising campaign, all submitted designs to show their support. Berry's, reminiscent of her recent role as Catwoman, featured various animal prints with a fur trim.

Each celebrity received a design kit and corset and then returned a sketch of their idea to Frederick's of Hollywood for production. Some designers, like Edie Falco and Diana Ross, opted not to sketch and worked directly on the sample corset provided.

Frederick's of Hollywood pioneers innovative, alluring lingerie.

RAINN helps people who have been messed with.
