Making web systems accessible to users with disabilities, through testing, consultancy, training and monitoring

Infrastructure Management Systems (IMS) announced a partnership agreement today with WebABLE, Inc., the global leader in accessible web solutions. The move will help WebABLE widen its market reach, as accessibility becomes an increasingly important issue worldwide. It is intended that IMS will both resell WebABLE products and services and avail of WebABLE's testing and monitoring services to enhance and validate their own accessibility solutions.

The partnership shows both companies' commitment to providing quality accessibility products and services that meet the needs, not only of the more than 500 million global consumers with disabilities, but also the enterprises that wish to reach them.

IMS is a global IT consultancy whose client list includes Chase Manhattan Bank, Merck, Citibank, New York State and local government. This new partnership will enable IMS to add significant value to the high standard of services it already supplies to corporate and government clients.

The solutions WebABLE provide include:

Two-phase website accessibility analysis. This involves a first-pass website review to determine a site's accessibility baseline, followed by an in-depth inspection to establish conformance with WAI guidelines, W3C standards and vulnerability to legal requirements.

Planning, Strategy and Remediation Integration. WebABLE consults with organizations to create, implement and maintain corporate accessibility standards. This includes adapting websites for accessibility and training client staff to maintain and develop accessible web systems.

Seminars and Workshops. These one-day and multi-day training solutions cover all aspects of accessibility including the assistive technologies used by people with disabilities.

Webable Monitor automatically tests websites for compliance with the W3C guidelines on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. The Monitor provides a depth and quality of analysis unmatched in this field and provides a customized executive summary report.
