Cointreau Cocktails : Official Cocktail List of The Tribeca Film Festival Makes its Debut
|
Remy Amerique announced its sponsorship of the "Official Cocktail List" for the 2nd Annual 2003 Tribeca Film Festival today. Featuring six of its top spirits brands -- Remy Martin VSOP, Cointreau Liqueur, The Famous Grouse Finest Scotch Whisky, Damrak Gin, The Macallan Single Malt Scotch, and Mount Gay Rum -- the list includes specially-created concoctions that are as exciting to make as they are to sip. Featuring eight recipes inspired by the movie industry and titled as such, the "Official Cocktail List" includes such starlet recipes as the Tribeca Sidecar, the Red Carpet Rita and the Cinemapolitan all blended with the trend-setting orange flavored liqueur Cointreau. The cocktails are being served at all major events and parties until the festival ends on May 11th. The sponsorship includes the ability to create "The Official Cocktail List of the Tribeca Film Festival" as well as display the menu cards as bar and table tents at all of the Tribeca Film Festival events, including the opening night gala including a screening of the much talked about Down With Love starring Ewan McGregor and Renee Zelwegger, all of the filmmaker receptions, and the closing ceremonies and awards. "We are proud to support the Tribeca Film Festival in its efforts to bring attention to aspiring filmmakers as well as to Lower Manhattan," says Jane Scott, Cointreau Brand Manager for Remy Amerique. "We share a similar spirit with the festival. Cointreau is also about being bold and edgy." Since its creation in 1849, Cointreau has become a worldwide legend selling in more than 200 countries with a presence in virtually every bar in the world. It is a key ingredient in two of the most popular cocktails in the U.S.: the Cosmopolitan and the Original Margarita. Cointreau's subtle taste originates from Edouard Cointreau's perfect balance of bitter and sweet orange peels grown and meticulously selected for their quality. Today, the Master distiller at Cointreau follows the concerns set by the Cointreau family and adapts the process according to each year's harvest. Cointreau is imported by Remy Amerique, a subsidiary of Remy Cointreau in France.
