Brittany Murphy Jordache Jeans Ad : Features star posed bareback on a horse in a photo by Patrick Demarchelier for designer's advertising campaign

Brittany Murphy

Jordache jeans is running a national advertising campaign featuring Brittany Murphy. Shot by famous photographer Patrick Demarchelier on a New York estate, the campaign features Murphy posing bareback on a horse, the iconic symbol of Jordache. The first advertisement will run in national publications beginning in September and will run through the holiday season.

The campaign is part of a larger plan by the company to raise awareness of its commitment to create premium quality products both at the highest level of their Jordache Vintage line which is sold in high end retail stores and its junior's label for Wal Mart -- all styles premium quality with superior fits and modern styles. The Jordache Vintage line, which was launched in fall 2004, continues to be a celebrity and fashionista favorite.

"We are thrilled to be working with Brittany Murphy," said Jordache President Liz Berlinger. "We chose Brittany as our model because she epitomizes everything that the updated Jordache brand is about. She is a classic beauty with an individual sense of style."

Jordache catapulted to fame in the late 1970s as a leader in the designer-label jeans category. The ad campaigns of Jordache jeans have long been provocative and innovative. Jordache recently introduced a new premium line of jeans inspired by the classic Jordache look.

Hair and make-up for the ad were done by make-up artist Fulvia Farolfi and hair stylist Didier Malige.
